The Vatican is, of course, one of the most famous cities in the world. No doubt this is largely owing to its central role in the influential 2003 movie “Van Helsing”.

In addition to its claim as the smallest country in the world, Vatican City has another, lesser known, record; most gold leaf per capita. Visitors can really see those third world dollars being put to work.
